Station Hotel

Station Hotel which is located in the heart of the midlands and the central point of Dudley, sitting in front of the well known Dudley castle, The Station Hotel is known for its hauntings and paranormal activity. 

When we visited The Station Hotel for the very first time back in September 2024, We automatically felt this very warm and cosy feeling and welcome to the hotel, not to mention all of the stories we had heard before and during our welcome. 

 

What did we find In our investigation on that night? 

We started our investigation in the banquet hall, located at the rear side of the hotel. Whilst using the voice box and other devices, We called out for any spirits to come forward and to tell us their names and why they were attached to the hotel. We was expecting at least one of the gigantic chandeliers to move or shake, however that did not happen, instead we had a lot bangs and taps occurring. 

These are some of the words that came through the voice box whilst being in the banquet hall:

• “listen to me”
• “Not likely”
• “Andrew”
• “Closet”
• “Dark”
• “Bored”

Harvey (Team leader) was scratched on the thumb leaving a stinging pain and a red mark, soon before our camera automatically cut off recording. Soon later we all heard running footsteps in the corridor above the side archways of the banquet hall, we thought this has to be a child or a human, however, we did not know that the corridor we had heard the running from was a dormant corridor with no rooms and just used as a fire exist. We then later asked the hotel workers about this, they replied saying that there were no children checked into the hotel that night, and no one was in that corridor at that time (after checking CCTV). They ended that conversation with saying, “this is what we encounter all the time, the chilling running footsteps of children”. 

We then decided to move into the original staircase of the hotel where many photos of celebrities were displayed. At this point we gathered a lot of information regarding the dark history of this hotel. 

These are the main words we got from the voice box during our session in the staircase:

• “Die”
• “Grandfather”
• “Can you feel me?”
• “Stupid”
• “Gun”
• “She wont leave”
• “Black smith”
• “Killed”
• “Abused”
• “Attic”
• “Table”
• “Trapped” 

The staircase was an area of the hotel which was one of the most active, giving us a lot of information and evidence that we didn’t know at the time of the investigation, however when we got back we researched and found out how and why we got the information we got during the investigation. (Read More about the history of the hotel under the “true crime” section.)

We then moved onto the final part of our investigation, in the corridor of the famous and well known rooms in the hotel, rooms 214-217. Using the cat balls and the voice box during our investigation upstairs, we gathered a lot of recorded evidence of the cat balls going off in respondence to our questions, one question which asked by a team member if bing Crosby or Tommy Cooper was there to light up the cat ball, the cat ball amazingly lit up!

That successfully ended our investigation for the night, in satisfaction of the amount of accurate evidence we caught.
